Just Hanging Out

He looks like such a big boy, reclined back watching tv and eating his snack before bed. Is he one and a half or thirty?
And I have to share these pics of Campbell all snug in the Moby wrap. Why did it take six weeks for me to remember that I had this?! She instantly fell asleep in it.

Water Time

Is it normal that he likes the hose better than the sprinkler? I think it's because he likes to be in control! Although it has challenged my sanity, I have definitely enjoyed hanging out with Greyson this summer and seeing him gain so many new skills. He is starting to talk so much. And he LOVES his baby sister! I am already sad that I only have two more weeks of summer left. With two it has been hard to enjoy it the way I wanted to. But we are going to the lake this weekend and I am excited!

Sweet Campbell is a month old! Time is flying by. Here she is in her pjs Thursday morning - 4 weeks old. That's not bed head, her crazy hair always stands up like that! The only thing I can do with it is hide it with a bow on top of her head.
She turned 1 month on Saturday. Not the way we wanted to celebrate, but we will take it. As if I didn't already know from past experiences, we are just thankful that our children are healthy and growing well. There are so many children and families in that hospital suffering and not knowing how things will turn out. We'll take a virus over that any day!

Doesn't she look pitiful?! She was gray Friday evening and Saturday. Her fever is gone and she is finally pink again and is nowhere near as fussy as she was. It made a huge difference in how both kids felt just getting them home! The change was instant. Grey's fever has been gone since Friday night, but we think he has a sore throat. He did eat today for the first time all weekend. And his eczema, which was as bad as it has ever been, is clearing now thanks to two new prescriptions. I'll post pics of my newly-turned 18 month old next time. I am ready to go sleep in my own bed!

No time for pictures....

just an unfortunate update on my sweet girl. Both of the kids were FINE until last night when Campbell started acting fussy with what I thought was a tummy ache. During the night both she and Greyson woke up with fevers. In the morning I called to add Campbell to Greyson's already scheduled well-check. Babies less than 6 weeks with a fever automatically get a two-day hospital stay with a complete septic work-up, including spinal tap. We are pretty sure it's just a virus, as Greyson's exam showed that he had a mouth full of little blisters- hand, foot and mouth disease. All I know is my poor baby is miserable! She cries everytime she is moved, or even touched really. Hopefully she will start feeling better tomorrow!

Happy Fourth!

We mainly spent the weekend on the back porch enjoying the perfect weather. We did go grill steaks with my parents Saturday night, then came home to watch our downtown's fireworks from our house.
