All Girl

We have always said that Grey is "all boy". He loves trucks, tractors, sports, riding bulls, all that boy stuff. Well Campbell is definitely all girl! Her favorite "toys" in the house are my shoes, makeup and nail polish. When I can't find her I know to go look in my bathroom for her. She also really likes trying on clothes so putting laundry away when she is around is difficult because she wants to put things over her head or on her legs.

Some pictures from her birthday party....She LOVED her cake!!

(This is her not being so lady-like!)

She is also walking now! She just started this week and already today she is walking around in my high heels! Kevin and I are in trouble!

Swing Batter Batter

It doesn't really matter what kind of game it is, if it has a ball Greyson is all about it. We try to keep him in season so right now he is all about baseball. He can hit the ball halfway across the front yard off of the tee. We have taken him to a Drive game, but they are a little too slow for him. He does love the fact that you can see the city's softball field from our back yard and he has watched a little of those games. They are more interesting I guess because you can hear the girls chanting and cheering the whole time. Softball girls are very loud! Kevin and his dad have also been discussing a membership to a golf course, so there may be some golf in Grey's future too. And we can't wait to take Grey to his first Clemson football game this fall!!

Almost birthday time!

I can't believe it's time to kiss Campbell's first year goodbye!
Our sweet girl turns one on Friday! What is Campbell like at one year...Campbell is such as funny girl. She loves to laugh and to make us laugh. I don't know how a one-year-old knows how to play games with people but she does. She loves people and will smile, wave and say hello to everyone she sees when we are out and about. She can say Mama, Dada, hey, hello, bye-bye, yay, uh-oh, it's gone and where it/dada/greyson go?. Well, she doesn't actually say Greyson but you can tell that is what she is trying to say. It is very cute when she puts her hands out, shrugs her shoulders and asks a question. She is very busy and pretty fiesty. It is difficult for anyone to hold her for long because she doesn't like to sit still. She is just beginning to stand up without holding on to something for a few seconds and she likes holding your hands so she can walk. She loves to hold and rock her baby dolls but she also likes playing with Greyson's trucks and tractors. She adores her big brother and since she usually wakes up first in the mornings she is dying to wake him up too so she can give him a big hug. She is such a blessing in our lives!
How sweet is this?

Our Weekend

Where Kevin spends all of his time...
Where I spend most of my time...
(well not in the bathroom, but wherever these two are)
Where we will be spending the next few days.....
Oh I can not wait!!
And for the ride, Campbell is moving to her big girl seat a few weeks early. She really likes it despite the fact that she has the whole "runny eyes/runny nose/runny drool/ I am sooo teething thing" going on.

Mother's Day 2010

We had a nice Mother's Day, until we realized that Kevin waking up not feeling well meant that he had strep throat. He was beyond miserable, but we managed to get a few pics before he got too bad and went home to bed.

Me and my sweet red-headAnd us with my mom.
Greyson was way too busy to take pictures
He has watched too many NASCAR races. He had to make a "pit stop" every few minutes to "work" on the car!

What she's up to

Campbell is a busy little girl! Over the past month she has learned to.....
pull bows out of her hair (she's not too bad about this, but mommy is still not happy!)....
scruntch up her nose to smile and to wave hello and goodbye...
that there is life outside of the rocking chair and she wants to get there!....
and she is working on blowing kisses....
Campbell has also started crawling and pulling up in the last few weeks, and in the last few days she has been crawling a little on her hands and feet instead of her knees. Life with TWO mobile little ones is pretty crazy! She also pretty much just eats what we eat at meals, loves playing in the tub as much as her brother, dances to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse every morning, and continues to bring joy to everyone around her!! Can't believe it's time to start planning for her birthday! Just two months away.

Whoever said the days were long but the years were short knew what they were talking about!

The last Easter post!

I can't believe that we have had two beautiful and warm Easters in a row! Sunday was a fabulous day- great worship at church, a yummy lunch with the family, and two sweet babies looking adorable! What a day of celebrating our savior!

Philippians 3:10-12
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Justa Swingin

It's been a long few days but the kids are finally feeling better after a virus that attacked on Friday! The runny noses have lingered, but now I think allergies are to blame for some of that. The first few days of Spring Break were definitely not a break! I am so thankful they are feeling better and their moods are better! We walked to the park by our house yesterday morning and they loved the swing!

Hog Heaven

Spending his entire day outside (with NO nap!) with a truck load of dirt, a shovel, a tractor and Daddy. Probably Greyson's favorite day ever!!

Campbell was "happy" about it too!
But she recovers well.
A little preview of our new walkway.
What a difference a day, and a bath make.
(I didn't realize how Elton John-ish those sunglasses were when I bought them!)
